Organized by Neuropharmacology, this satellite symposium to the 2008 Meeting of the Society for Neuroscience will bring together renowned international experts to share the latest developments in the areas of ionotropic glutamate receptors, GABA_A receptors, glycine receptors, nicotinic ACh receptors, P2X receptors and 5-HT₃ receptors.

The focus of the conference will be on structure/function relationships: how the knowledge of protein structure is informing us about the function of these receptors and how this information can be used to develop novel therapeutic agents.
